Hello, all!

 

I decided to start this website about 6 months or so ago, and while I consider myself fairly tech-savvy, I have zero design skills, and a pretty serious aversion to most social media.  Needless to say, there's been a bit of a learning curve.  However, the story of Dulcimer's House is sometimes too funny not to tell, and this seems like the best way to do it.  It also seems like a great way to document the progress we're making here at what we jokingly refer to as "the homestead".  My partner (The Historian--more on him later!) and I moved away from big-city life (and the sprawl, traffic, noise, crime, etc...) in Fall 2018, and well, sometimes, it seems we moved much further than the 800 miles between Point A and Point B.

 

The moving story actually starts a little over a year ago now, in Spring of 2018.  So while I'll usually be looking forward, occasionally I'll pause to fill in the back-story as well.
